Thursday’s Teaching Tips – Oh The Places You’ll Go Map Decor
My friend, Kristin, at Life’s Small Moments, has come up with an awesome geography project for her son that is both educational and stylish!!! I fell in love with the idea the moment I saw her post it and begged for a tutorial.
She also put some local map inserts into frames to go along with this to focus on their locations. I think it’s a great learning aid for a kids’ room that is more personalized than just a regular wall map. And think of all the ways you can incorporate this into learning – Flat Stanley travels, where we’ve been in books, where we went on summer vacation, where is my family, History/Georgraphy studies, etc.
So head over to Kristin’s blog to read up on the tutorial – I’d love to hear and see if you do the project!
Fair warning, she has music on her blog, so you’ll want to turn down your speakers first.
