Alton Brown Good Eats III: The Final Years Book Signing Tour 2011

September 11, 2011
The Geek Alert is sounding again 🙂  Alton Brown is touring again this fall for his Good Eats III:  The Final Years book release. I get a lot of hits on the blog looking for book tour information (and I’m not even a fan blog..so folks must be out looking!) Here is the information I received from his publisher last month. Be sure to check out AltonBrown.com/booktour for any up-to-date information, or his twitter page for last minute changes or announcements of flash signings, etc.
You can read HERE (Alton Brown Good Eats 1 Austin 2009 Tour) or HERE (Alton Brown Good Eats 2 Austin 2010 Tour) for what it was like at his signings for us.
Be sure to call your venue well ahead of time to find out how they will be handling the appearance. Some will be giving out wristbands with book purchases well ahead of the game. So far, quite a few of the venues have already said Alton will not be posing for photos (if it’s like last year, there are so many people, there isn’t time to get it all in), and no video taking allowed. So be sure to check ahead of time to find out what your local appearance will be requiring.
Here’s a link to our visit with Alton in Big D

(this is definitely a call ahead venue – if they do it like last year, the appearance was actually held at another facility, and tickets were given away at Central Market for the general public, and at the Book Festival for preferred seating. We called a few weeks before the appearance and there were only a few tickets left and a very long waiting line outside of the appearance for folks hoping to get in who didn’t get to see the talk, but were eventually allowed to line up to get their books signed)
